Data Entry Options: Award-winning biometric fingerprint reader and direct entry of data via the built-in keypad.
Communication Options: Wireless (802.11b/g, direct serial, dial-up modem, ethernet, cellular modem (GPRS)
Wireless: Uses the 801.11b/g protocol for robust signal strength. Clock must be within range of your wireless base station. Depending on location and environment, the range is between 10-150 feet without external antennas.
Serial: Transfers data to the pc at a rate of 38,400 Baud over a cable, not to exceed 200 feet in length. Any cable over 20 ft. in length must be shielded. The connector to the computer is a standard DB-9 female serial connector; the end going to the clock must be RJ-12 (6 pin). The physical path of the cable must be as free as possible of electromagnetic interference (EMI) or radio frequency interference. Avoid running cable over or near fluorescent lighting, electric motors, or UTP network cable bundles.
Dial-Up Modem: 33,600 BAUD modem, MNP5 Error correction, standard Hayes command set. Modem use requires an analog phone line. Modem can share a line with the use of an optional call processor.
Ethernet: 10/100 Auto switch Ethernet connection. IP address and Subnet mask can be set by the user to any value. Standard 10/100 Base T (RJ-45) connector, activity and connection lights.
Cellular Modem (GPRS): GSM Network Type. Supported providers: T-Mobile and Cingular.
Required plans: T-Mobile SOC TMI5AVPNM. Cingular: Laptop Connect Unlimited. An external facing IP address that is accessible from the Internet is also required.
Storage Capacity: up to 160,000 entries. Supports automatic polling of clock data.
Optional Bell/Buzzer Relay: This option will enable the clock to send a signal to ring a bell or buzzer (such as a bell for meal times). Up to 32 relay events may be programmed.
Security Door Strike Switch: When this option is enabled, the clock will close a switch contact that can be used to open a door equipped with an electric door strike. This option is mutually exclusive with the bell/buzzer events; only one may be selected at a time.
Vehicle Power Supply: Model MW292 car adaptor.
Battery Back Up: Optional battery that keeps clock fully functional, without power, for a minimum of 2 hours.
